Loans are everywhere and with them you can buy just about anything you want without having to worry about the immediate financial burden. Person to person auto loans are by no means new to the scene, and more people are looking to these types of loans to finance their new car. If you are considering going down this road there are a few things you need to know.

What are they?
A person to person auto loan is designed especially so that you can cover the cost of a sale of a car from a private individual. This means that you don’t have to deal with dealerships and suffer the cost of commission. Some of the parties involved in this sort of process will even forgo the down payment, meaning you will pay even less.

Where can you find them?
Sometimes called private party auto financing, they can be found just about anywhere. You can start by looking at your local newspaper and bulletins. The easier way would be to search online. Here you will find a number of lenders that will be able to finance your new car. Not only can you get better deals this way, but you have the added advantage of finding out more about the car.

Who qualifies?
Every region has different rules and regulations when it comes to private party auto loans, most of which are common. If you want to apply for a loan you should be over the age of 18, have a valid social security number, earn an amount that enables you to pay back the loan amount, have lived in a residence for at least half a year, and worked in a permanent position for at least half a year. Your credit record should also be clean with a good credit score. A bad history will show you are not capable of paying back your debt on time or at all.

How do you apply?
Applying for a person to person auto loan is much like applying for any other loan. You have to find the car you want and work out how much it costs and what sort of loan amount you need. You then need to search for a loan provider who will be willing to meet your terms. It is always useful to have your eye on more than just one car in case one or more of the deals do not follow through.
